ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Charles D. Dungan, 85, Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, in Enid Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Gib Clark officiating. Military graveside rites will be serviced by the Silver Talon Honor Guard. Services are under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

Charles was born on December 27, 1927, in Hopeton, Oklahoma, the son of Wallace and June Moxenurger Dungan.

He was raised and educated in Avard, graduating from Avard High School with the class of 1945. Charles served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for seven years.

He married JoAnn Replogle on May 15, 1954, in Perry.

Charles attended two years at Northwestern OSU in Alva. He was a school teacher in Quinter, Kansas, then went to Wichita Kansas, working for Cessna Aircraft. Charles attended Wichita State University for two years, receiving his degree in education in math. He then moved to California, retiring from Boeing Aircraft in 1991 after 30 years. He moved back to Enid.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn of the residence; son, Keith and wife Maleia of Enid, Kenneth and wife, Tina of Riverside, California; daughter, Karen and Chris Wilkins of San Ramone, California; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; sisters, Lydia and Doris and brother, Wallace Dungan.

Charles was preceded in passing by his parents, one brother and one sister.
