The funeral for Don J. Cox, 75, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Edmison will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.
He was born June 5, 1934, in Enid to Ralph C. and Flossie Schram Cox and died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was a 1952 graduate of Enid High School. He was a 1952 graduate of Enid High School. He married Betty Van Hauen Nov. 14, 1958, in Enid. He was head cook for Enid Senior Care for six years and worked at Enid Bus Station for 30 years. He also worked at Bond Bakery and Guys Potato Chips. He had lived at Kenwood Manor for the last eight years.
Surviving are his wife, Betty, of the home; two sons, Steven Cox of Enid and Randy Cox of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Shirley Clack of Auberry, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
