Celebration of Life service for Evelyn Mae Collins, 92, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. today, Dec. 16, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born March 29, 1922, in Fairmont, Okla., to Henry and Hulda Kindt Helberg and passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 14, 2014, at Golden Oaks Nursing Home.

She was raised in the Fairmont community and attended school in Garber.

She married Melvin J. Collins on Nov. 4, 1945, in Fairmont. They moved to Enid in 1975. He passed away July 5, 1998.

Evelyn worked for Safeway for a short period of time and was a housewife.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandi Stiles and husband Rick of Oklahoma City and Rita Brown of Kremlin; son, Terry Collins and wife Connie of Enid; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Oletha; brother, Kenneth; grandson, Michael; and great-grandson, Maesyn.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer’s division.

Condolences may be made and the service viewed at www.ladusauevans.com.
