The service celebrating the life of Mr. Johnny C. Carson, 61, Enid, is 2 p.m. Tuesday March 28, 2017, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lester Larry officiating. Burial follows in Enid Cemetery. Services are under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born August 4, 1955, to Mr. Jewell Sr. and Edith Zero Carson in Pawnee, and passed from this life on March 22, 2017, in Enid. He was raised and educated in Enid. He traveled all over the world with carnivals and fairs, and then worked in the oil field until he was medically disabled in the late 1990's. He always stayed busy with odd jobs and had a host of many friends and family he would gather with to enjoy coffee, conversation, and card games. He had a vibrant sense of humor, for which he was well known.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike Carson and wife Alma, Bill Carson and wife Poncho of Omak, Wa., Ricky Carson of Enid; sisters, Donna Thompson and husband Alan of Enid, Mary Kay Prince of Anadarko; two daughters, Rebecca Thompson of Enid, and Orbana Solomon of Omak, Wa.; five grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents, and brothers Gary Carson, and Jewell Carson Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
