ORVILLE PAKMER CALLAHAN

Orville Palmer Callahan 69, early day resident of Kingfisher, died Tuesday evening in Oklahoma City where he has lived since 1932.

Born in Phelps Co. Missouri he came to Kingfisher Co. Okla. in 1901. In 1908 he married Myrtle Edwards in Blackwell. He worked for the government in Guthrie before moving to Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Graveside rites will be at 2:30 p. m. Monday in the Enid Cemetery with Rev. Robert J. Smith officating. Fossett funeral home is in charge of the body.

Mr. Callahan is survived by one son, O'Neil Callahan of Rapid City S. D.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Patterson of Rapid City; Mrs. Mildred Gaugh, Ponca City; and Mrs. Betty Thomas of Okla. City, Okla. Two brothers, A. E. Callahan of Ponca City and E. C. Callahan of Tulsa; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Nazworthy, Enid; and Mrs. A. E. Pearson, Okla. City. and nine grandchildren.
