The graveside service for Della "Dee" June Ashby, 85, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the Enid Cemetery Chapel. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Lawton to Claud Dainell Sr. and Della Wheeler and died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009.

She was a 1943 graduate of Enid High School and attended Enid Business School. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone.

She lived in California, Houston and the remainder of her life in Waukomis and Enid. She was a volunteer at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

Surviving are one grandson and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, Dale Kucera and W.S. Ashby, one son, two brothers, one sister and a grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the 4-year-old program at the Methodist Home.
