The funeral for Helen Mae Arnold, 86, will be at 2 PM Sunday in Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard N. Duckworth, pastor of Willow Road, Christian Church, and Tom Frisbee, pastor of Davis Park Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.

Arnold, a longtime Enid resident, died Thursday at a local nursing home. She was born November 4, 1902, in Tecumseh, Nebraska, and was reared in Enid, graduating from Enid high school in 1921.

She married Leland V. Arnold on June 10, 1926, in Enid.

She retired several years ago from Phillips University as a pastry cook. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church and "You and I" Sunday school class.

Arnold was preceded in death by her husband in 1950, her parents and a sister.

She is survived by a son, Leland V. Arnold, Enid; a daughter, Barbara Phillips, Enid; a brother, Earl E. Ellsworth, El Reno; six grandchildren; seven great – grandchildren and to step – great – grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation's Cancer Division, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
