Enid Cemetery


The funeral for William B. "Andy" Anderson, 70, will be 2 PM Saturday in Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dennis Treat officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.

He was born March 14, 1927, in Enid to Paul C. and Helen Cave Anderson and died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at his home in Dennison, Texas.

He graduated from Enid high in 1945. He entered the U. S. Army Air Corps in June 1945, serving until October 1946. He later served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951 to 53. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business in 1958 and a masters degree in 1961 from Oklahoma State University. He worked for the Federal Communications Commission retiring in 1980. He continued to work part – time out of his home as an accountant and for Lamar – Jackson Accounting in Sherman, Texas.

He married Patricia Lee Rainey on October 5, 1957, in Enid. They were members of the first Christian Church of Dennison.

He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; three children, Chris Anderson of Colbert, Barbara Rainey of Sherman, Bob Rainey of Pattsboro, Texas; one sister, Phyllis Mitchell of Enid; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart Division, with Brown Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
