Last rites for Robert F. Anderson, 74, 222 W. Elm, will be at the graveside in the Enid Cemetery at 4 PM Friday with chaplain Abe Cornelsen of the American Legion officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Anderson died Tuesday evening in Clinton, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Enid November 25, 1905, and graduated from Enid high in 1927. Anderson was a licensed mortician and worked for the Dunlavy Funeral Home for a short time.

He later worked as a service station attendant for several years at the station at Elm and Independence.

During World War I I, he served in the U. S. Army in the Southwest Pacific for more than three years. Anderson was a longtime member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a sister, Bertha Jayne of Whittier, California; a nephew and two nieces, Ben Jayne, Barbara Gilbert, Whittier, California, and Joanne Headrick, Boise, Idaho, and a cousin, Paul Anderson of Enid.
