November 26, 1943 - March 24, 2019

The funeral service for Karen Jeanne Johnson will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Douglas Christian Union Church with Reverend Robert Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Douglas Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.

Karen was born in Enid, OK November 26, 1943 to Burton Albert and Geneva Ulala (Valtr) Burland and passed away March 24, 2019.

She was raised in Montana, Colorado and Oklahoma; Graduating from Pioneer High School with the class of 1962. She married Gene Johnson at the Vance Air Force Base Chapel in Enid. After which, making Douglas their home. Karen was a homemaker and home care aide; she enjoyed helping and being around people. She loved her Yorkies, and spending time with her friends and family and will be missed and loved by all.

Karen is survived by her brother, Burton A. Burland, Jr.; nephew, Brendon Burland and wife, Nikki and their children, Chase and Brooke; nephew, Jamie; one niece, Bonnie; and Karen's friend and neighbor Michelle Andrews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Gene; three brothers, Ernie; Roger and Joseph.

Memorials may be made to the Douglas Christian Union Church with the Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
