Douglas Union Cemetery


A graveside service for Donald "Joe Hutcheson, 49, of Kingfisher, will be at 2 PM Thursday, September 30, 1999, at Douglas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson – Burris Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 1 PM at the funeral home before going to the cemetery.

He was born to Paul and Rachel Bridgeman Hutcheson on December 30, 1949 in Enid, and died September 28, 1999 in Kingfisher.

He attended school and graduated from Garber high school. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/Television from Oklahoma State University in 1971. He continued his education in environmental science from Oscar Rose College and the University of Oklahoma. He co-– owned Hutcheson Excavating, an underground construction company from 1972 to 1977. He then worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Registered Professional Environmental specialist for 13 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, and the Loyal Order of Moose.

He is survived by his life companion, Carol A. Murray of Okarche; one son Jon Hutcheson of Enid; one step – son James Noel Murray of Oklahoma City; one step – daughter Bonnie Keith of Oklahoma City; one step – granddaughter Jasmine Keith of Enid; one brother Charles "Butch" Hutcheson of Enid; one sister Anna Payne of Enid; and eight nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Jon Hutcheson College Fund.
