RECENT DEATHS- CLARKE - Funeral services for Jay Clarke, 70, were held Thursday afternoon in the Christian Union Church at Douglas, with Rev. Wallace Lynton officiating. Burial was made in Douglas cemetery, with the Henninger Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Clarke died last Wednesday morning, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest McVickers, in Douglas. He had been in failing health for several years.
He had lived in Oklahoma since the opening of the Cherokee Strip and had homesteaded a farm southeast of Douglas. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. McVickers and Mrs. Gilbert Dittmeyer, also of Douglas.
