A Celebration of Life Service for Marilyn "Susie" Jones, 72, Drummond, is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at the Community Bible Church, with the Rev. W.C. "Bill" Smith officiating. Burial follows in the Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Susie was born in Enid on Nov. 8, 1943. She attended and graduated from Enid High School. Susie was always a horsewoman from early childhood. She trained, showed and competed in horse events as she grew up. She was Vici Rodeo Queen, Enid Shriners Rodeo Queen and Woodward Elks Rodeo Queen. She was a very active member of Cherokee Round Up Club. She competed in barrel racing with her horse "Dusty," a horse she raised and trained from a colt. She married Jerry Jones, Dec. 2, 1966, in Enid. They made their home in Drummond. She was employed at the Bank of Drummond for many years, and then went to work for Pioneer Telephone until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by Jerry, of the home; her two daughters: Robin and her husband, Brian Schoonmaker; Kelly and Phillip Cronister; grandchildren, Dillan, Kendal, Chelsea and Caitlyn; her twin sister, Carolyn Christenson; and older sister, Sharen Martin; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to "Bit by Bit," a therapy equestrian center, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
