J.W. HIRST DIES
J.W. Hirst, just past 67 years old, died suddenly at his home between Drummond and Lahoma at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He had been ill with influenza since Thursday of last week but was thought to be much better and was sitting up in bed when he suddenly fell over dead. He had been ailing for some years, more or less, and the direct cause of his death was acute dilation of the heart.

He leaves his wife, five sons, Charles, of Drummond, O.T. and William, of Enid; Robert, who is near Everett, Wash.; and George, who is at home; two daughters, Mrs. E.F. Thorlton, of Lahoma; and Mrs. Fred Buckminister, of Enid; one sister, Mrs. Jeff Hart, of Agra. All were able to attend the funeral except Robert.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in Drummond at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Masonic Lodge of Lahoma, was in charge, assisted by Drummond and Enid Masons.
