Del Norte Cemetery


Mrs. Elzora Hill, 96, died Saturday at the home of her daughter in Congress, Arizona. Born in western Kansas, she moved to a farm between Ames and Drummond via covered wagon at the age of 12, and at age 18, married Dorsey Hill. He died in 1944. In 1947, she moved to Drummond, and was a member of the Drummond Congressional United Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John (Vesta) Kocsis, Middletown, California; Mrs. Rus (Martha) Quinn, Congress, Arizona, and Mrs. H. T. (Thelma) Ardweg, Phoenix, Arizona, two sons, Chester J., Waukomis, and Claud, Drummond; 12 grandchildren; 22 great – grandchildren; three great – great – grandchildren, and one brother, Edwin Murray, Phoenix, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division, with the funeral home serving as custodian.

Mrs. Hill's service will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Drummond Congregational United Church of Christ. Doctor Bruce Munro will officiate. Burial will be in Del Norte Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

The body will arrive in Enid Tuesday afternoon.
