AMES — Funeral for Wesley Clint Groves, 35, of Ames, will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, at Central Christian Church. Rev. Don Johnson and Rev. L.D. Choate will officiate. Burial will be in Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Wesley was born to Roger and Sherry (Wheeler) Groves January 26, 1977, in Enid, and passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in Ames.

Wesley graduated from Deer Creek High School. He was a farmer and rancher and liked being out in the country, enjoying the land. Wesley liked bird-dogs, hunting, fishing and working with cattle. Most of all, he loved his son Wyatt and watching him play sports.

He is survived by his son Wyatt Groves and father Roger and wife Ladonna Groves, all of Enid; brother Travis Groves of Ames; aunts Carolyn Groves, Judy Hill and Debbie Groves; grandparents Mildred (Wheeler) and Marvin Myers and Don and Twyla Provost, all of Enid.

Wesley was preceded in death by son Devon Andrew Lee Groves; mother Sherry Groves; grandparents Andrew Wheeler and Fred and Grace Groves; and uncle Chuck Groves.
