John Daniel Cummings, the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Cummings, died at the family home southeast of town early Monday morning. He had been sick for the past year and the doctors failed to find anything to better his condition. He was not confined to his bed and was able to walk and was cheerful on the morning of his death.
Johnnie Cummings was born December 13th, 1908, and died May 22, 1916, age 8 years, 5 months and 9 days. He had spent his short life on the same place and was loved by all his school mates being a very bright disposition.
