Catrena Anne

Del Norte Cemetery

Funeral services for Catrena Anne Swart Coomes, 30, of Enid, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Terry Chick officiating. Burial will follow in the Del Norte Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Catrena was born Feb. 7, 1978, in Okeene, Okla., to Tim and Linda Williams Swart and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, from complications of a car accident.

She grew up in the Drummond community where she graduated from high school in 1996. She married Colin Coomes.

Catrena worked at Marilyn K's until it recently closed. She was studying to be a medical transcriptionist. She had decided to do that so she could remain at home with her son who has special needs. Since day care was difficult, her dream and goal was to open a daycare for special needs children.

Catrena is survived by one son, Jesse Coomes, and daughter Emma Coomes of the home; her father, Tim Swart of Drummond; her mother, Linda Swart of Enid; two sisters, Misty Arnett and her husband Shawn and Patricia Nunley, all of Enid; one brother, Tim Swart II of Enid; her fiancé, Jared Gaines of Enid; her two grandmothers, Esther Swart of Drummond and Elsie Ryan of Temple City, Calif.; and several other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers.

Memorials may be made to the Jesse and Emma's day care fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Condolences maybe e-mailed to ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com.
