Del Norte Cemetery


The funeral for John (Jay) Bingham, 65, of Ames, will be at 10 AM Monday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Ray Bingham and Danny Marney will conduct the rites. Burial will be in the Del Norte Cemetery.

Bingham died Thursday in an Okeene hospital.

Born November 22, 1912, in Ames, he attended Greenwood and Lacy schools. He farmed in the Ames community most of his life, living in a home with his sister located southeast of the town for the last several years. Bingham was a member of the Ames Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Johnny, Germany; four daughters, Flossie Buford, Del City, Karen Large, Enid, Sharon Faulkner, Burkburnett, Texas, Bonita Lee, Drummond; one brother, Guy W., Enid; two sisters, Grace Harris, Okeene, and Evelyn Phipps, Ames; nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Henninger – Allen Funeral Home will act as custodians of the fund and is in charge of arrangements.
