Del Norte Cemetery


The funeral service for Elizabeth Bartlett, 87, will be held Sunday, November 25, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bud Ruggia and Rev. Danny Marney will officiate. Burial will be in Del Norte Cemetery, southwest of Drummond.
She was born on April 9, 1920, to Walter and Minnie Ishmael Cox on the farm south of Drummond and died at her home on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2007.
She grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at Barr and Drummond and graduated from Enid High School. She married Mack Bartlett on March 23, 1941, and they farmed and ranched in the Drummond, Waukomis, Ames and Lamont communities over the next 45 years. She lived on the family farm all her life with the exception of several winters at their second home in the Woodland addition in Enid. She was a member of Puritan Congregational United Church of Christ in Drummond. She loved to travel with her husband of 59 years and supported his activity as an avid golfer. She was a longtime member of Oakwood Country Club. After his passing, she loved to visit with her friends at the coffee shop in Drummond.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Cheryl Lovejoy, Max Ott, Sheri Rogers, Linda Revard, Joe Bartlett, Frank Bartlett and Lee Bartlett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Bartlett, and her sister, Addie Belle Rumsey.
Memorials may be made to Puritan Congregational United Church of Christ in Drummond through Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
