Fairmont News:
Quite a number from around here attended the funeral of Mr. Wyler Saturday.
Fairmont Vicinity:
Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, Mrs. Lizzie Lang, Mrs. Oscar Krukenberg, Mrs. Ed Johnson, Mrs. Ed Lang, and Miss Mary Lang from this vicinity attended the funeral services held for Mr. Samuel Wyler at the home east of Farimont Saturday afternoon. Mr. Wyler passed away suddenly Thursday morning following a heart attack. Born in Switzerland almost 82 years ago, he immigrated to this country when a young man living at Marysville, Kan., several years before coming to Oklahoma in 1894. He is survived by two sons, S.E. Wyler of Washington, who was unable to attend the funeral, Will of Tonkawa, four daughters, Mrs. Gus Hueppleheuser and Mrs. Lenlie Casebler of Covington, Mrs. Roy Johnson of this vicinity, and Mrs. George Yarger of the home, also 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Interment was made in the Covington cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him in death three years.

Obituary of Mr. Wyler
Samuel Wyler was born at Bern, Switzerland, on August 8, 1894. He departed from this life at his home on July 2, 1931, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 24 days.
At the age of 14 he was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Bern, Switzerland.
He came to the United States in 1860 with his mother and four brothers. They located in Kansas at Marysville. He was married to Christena Lutz at Marysville, Kan., on December 2, 1881. To this union was born nine children, three dying in infancy. He moved with his family to Oklahoma in March 1894, at which place he lived until his death.
His wife preceded him in death three years. He leaves to mourn their loss, six children, 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The children are: Samuel Edward of Everett, Wash.; William Ernest of Tonkawa; Mrs. Josephine Heuppelsheuser and Mrs. Laura Casebier of Covington; Mrs. Emma Yarger and Mrs. Lena Johnson of Fairmont.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Saturday by Rev. Paul Dettmer.
