A private memorial service for Martha Mildred Wolfenbarger, age 85, of Covington, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Martha was born to Benjamin and Alice (Hejek) Bura on April 23, 1927, in Enid, and passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Covington.

Martha grew up in Enid, and attended Catholic Schools. On April 22, 1941, she married Jim Wolfenbarger in Enid. They had six children, and when the youngest started school, she began working as a waitress at a Covington restaurant. Martha later cooked at Enid State School, where she was a dedicated worker for 27 years, retiring at age 70. She was very active in her retirement years, enjoying shopping, vacations, family dinners, and very involved with her kids and grandkids. Martha was a member of Covington First Methodist Church.

She is survived by six daughters, Diane Eggers and Karen Marker, both of Enid, Carol Siggins of Hunnewell, Kansas, Sandra Davis and Debbie Stovall, both of Covington, and Brenda Stotts and husband Mike of Lucien; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great, great-grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and grandson.

Memorial may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
