OBITUARY
Funeral services for Harvard "Harvey" Odell Theilen, 62 of Marshall, will be today, November 6, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the Covington School Gymnasium with Pastor Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Covington Cemtery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.
Harvey was born on September 1, 1943 in Enid to Henry Ernst and Zeda Selma (Benkendorf) Theilen and died on November 3, 2005 on the family farm. He grew up in Lahoma and graduated from Lahoma High School. Harvey then graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. On July 30, 1965, he married Linda Heintz in Enid and they made their home in Covington and Marshall. Harvey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Covington, where he was an elder and usher. He was a teacher and coach at Covington Schools and was named Teacher of the Year 1991-1992. Harvey and Linda farmed and ranched on their land north of Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Howard
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; two sons, Brian Theilen and friend, Rebecca Burgess of Marshall, and Harlan Theilen and wife, Tana of Meno; two brothers, H.H. Theilen of Enid and Hershal Theilen of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Carly Jo, Dalton, and Caitlin,; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. John's Lutheran Church.
