August 19, 1935 - July 20, 2017

The funeral service for Phillip E. (Gene) Stevison, age 81, will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 24, 2017, at Emmanuel Baptist Church Chapel with Rev Wade Burleson and Rev Matt Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Sunday afternoon 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Gene was born to Arthur and Martha (Spradley) Stevison on August 19, 1935, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Enid.

Gene had been employed by the City of Enid for over 40 years when he retired in 1998 as a vehicle Maintenance Supervisor. He was an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity, and served many years operating and managing The Local Restore. Gene was a member of Emmanuel Baptist and faithfully attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, two infant sons, Bobby Dale and Jerry Lee, two brothers and three sisters.

Gene is survived by his companion Shirley Wilson; children Harold Gene and Judy K Stevison of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Rhonda and Cynthia Stevison of Enid; grandchildren Blake Stevison, Blaire (Kohl) Stevison, Anita Carbone, Katelynn Culbert, and TJ Ramos.
