Covington Cemetery


Chris William Rink was born Feb. 21, 1960, in Stillwater, Okla., to William and Christina (Bohn) Rink. He passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his home in Douglas, Okla.

Chris was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington.

He graduated from Covington-Douglas High School in 1978, and later graduated from OSU in 1982.

Chris was a branch manager for County Line Co-op in Edmond. He later became executive director of Oklahoma Wheat Commission. He and his family moved to Arkansas, where he was manager of the Rural Water District. They moved back to Oklahoma, where he worked as director of Rural Development in Stillwater. He was currently employed by WB Johnston Grain Co. in Billings, Okla. Chris enjoyed acting and speaking.

Chris is survived by two children, Evan Rink and fiancée Ally Hedgpath of Norman, and Christin Rink of Nevada, Mo; his mother, Christina Rink of Douglas; two brothers, Randy Rink, and Larry Rink and wife Marilyn, all of Douglas; special friend, Debbie Fowble of Douglas; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Rink.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Covington, with Chris Griffith officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.
