LEONA LOHSE
Funeral services for Leona Lohse, 74, of Covington, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

She was born July 2, 1931, in Waukomis, Okla., the daughter of Anton and Anna Hromas, and died Feb. 7, 2007, in Hennessey. Leona was raised and played basketball in Waukomis as a young girl. Later the family moved to Covington. She worked as a Tupperware Sales manager for 20 years, then working for Tri-County Senior Citizens. She married Willie Lohse on June 14, 1954.

Leona enjoyed cats, square dancing, polka music, and all sports. One thing that she liked the most was spending time with people, especially children. She was a very active member at Covington Lutheran Chur

She is survived by a daughter, Lori Lohse McVay; one sister; three nieces and eight nephews. Leona is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willie Lohse; one sister; one brother; and one niece.
