Covington Cemetery


Covington – Ernest Everitt Honeywell, 71, died suddenly Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Covington Cemetery with the Rev. Guinne Brown officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Home, Garber.

Honeywell was born October 11, 1909, on a farm near Divan post office in Wallace County, Kansas, to Alfred and Delia Wing Honeywell. On August 15, 1940, he married Grace Amanda Chapman in Enid. She died in November 1977.

Following their marriage, the couple resided at Wichita, Kansas, Dover, Pond Creek and Covington.

Honeywell was a retired custodian.

Survivors include one step – son, Guy Chapman, Ponca City; two sons, Clarence Honeywell, Perry; and Samuel Honeywell, El Paso, Texas; one brother, Walter, Oklahoma City; one sister, Sarah Honeywell, Throu, New Mexico; grandchildren and great – grandchildren.
