OBITUARY
Arthur Herman Gopfert was born April 24, 1917, near Covington, and departed this life at the age of 18 years, 2 months and 21 days, on July 14, 1935. He leaves to mourn his death, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gopfert, six brothers and sisters, Fred, Charles, Earl, Wilma, Donna and Vera, his grandmother, Mrs. Hannah Wolf, Covington; four aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmitz, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fischer, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wolf, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Eisele, sixteen cousins, all of Covington, and a host of friends. He attended school at Covington and after finishing the 8th grade, he remained at home to assist with the farm work.
