A Celebration of Life Service for Orval Lee Freese, 91, Covington, is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at the Covington United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dawn Richards and the Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial follows in the Covington Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. this evening, Oct. 18, 2016, at the funeral home.

Orval was born Dec. 17, 1924, on their farm near Lucien, and he passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the Commons Methodist Care Center. He grew up in the Billings/Lucien community, attending school in Billings and graduating from Garber High School in 1942. He married Mary Ann Kimmell April 30, 1948, in Garber. He farmed all his life, northeast of Covington. They moved to Enid in 2011. He was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church and a member of Young Farmers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, of the home; three sons, Dwight Lee and wife, Paula, of Duncan; Larry Dean and wife, Vicky, of Kearney, Mo.; Lynn Byron and wife, Lori, of Scott City, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Katy and husband, Mike Carpenter; John, Asher, Lindsey Freese; Lesley and husband, James Skinner; Logan and Lane Freese; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Ava Carpenter; sister, Peggy and husband, Bill Bandy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and a brother and sister-in-law.

Memorials may be made to Covington United Methodist Church, or Tri-County Senior Citizens Center, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
