Covington Cemetery


A graveside service for Carl Henry Flores, 68, of Covington, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Covington Cemetery. Military rites will be by Fort Sill Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born May 18, 1938, in Concord, Calif., to Henry C. and Wardie I. Woodhead Flores and died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He grew up and attended school in Mexico and California. He served in the Army in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart with First Oak Leaf Cluster. He retired from the Army in 1975 and moved to Covington in 1976. He was a member of American Legion and Non-Commissioned Officers Association.

Surviving are one daughter, Alicia Maria Flores of Enid; one brother, Johnny Ronald Flores of California; three sisters, Carmen Maria Harwell of Nevada and Tina Maslowske and Pat Rodriquez, both of California.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Tri-County Senior Citizen Center in Covington
