OBITUARY
Funeral service for Mary Katherine Bamberg, 47-year-old Inola resident, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Covington. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Mary was born May 10, 1966, in Enid to Alfred Joseph and Hellen Marie (Unruh) Bamberg and died Monday, July 15, 2013, at the home of her father in Covington. She attended Covington schools and graduated with the class of 1984. She then attended Northwestern College for two years and then obtained her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Central Oklahoma.

She taught for two years in the Fort Worth School District before teaching at Chouteau-Mazie schools. She taught various grades for 23 years. She loved to work with children, especially her kindergarten and pre-K classes. She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking, and when she could find the time, fishing. She had a very special friend in her dog, Biscuit.

She is survived by her father, Joe of Covington; brothers, Alfred Joseph “A.J.” Bamberg III and wife Helen, and Stephen Bamberg. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hellen, and brother, John, both in 2011.
