ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Jim Blaser, 74, of Garber, Okla., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Donaldson officiating. A private burial in Collette Cemetery will precede the funeral.

Jim was born to Frank R. and Georgia (Darnall) Blaser on Aug. 17, 1939, in Enid, Okla., and passed away Friday, April 24, 2014, in Enid.

Jim graduated from Garber High School and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in ag education.

On Jan. 24, 1959, he married Patricia Lang in Enid, and they made their home in Garber. Jim was the Vo-Ag teacher at Garber High School, and was a Landman for Jefferson William Energy for many years. He also farmed. Jim was a member of United Methodist Church in Garber.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patty of the home; two children, Janet and David Thompson of Bridge Creek, and Lisa Eden of Stillwater; mother-in-law, Edna Lang; four grandchildren, Carley and Stoney Baker, Jack Thompson, Dillon Eden and Nicole Eden; two sisters, Carole Duncan of Enid, and Marilyn Oliver of Dallas; and longtime employee, Armando Saldana.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials to Hospice Circle of Love, Bethlehem Baptist Church or Collette Cemetery.
