Mr. Cannady died Sat. at his home at 304 West Oak after a lingering illiness. A native of Kecksville, later called Burns City, Indiana. He came to Oklahoma about 1901 locating at Blackwell, and moving to Enid in 1903. He was employed by Frisco railroad until he retired in 1937.
He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier church, a social member of the Knights of Columbus, Enid council 1044, member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors.
Survivors include his wife of the home, two daughters, Miss Pearl Cannady of the home; and Sister Mary Ermalinda, Palestine, TX; one son, George Cannady of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Anderson, Sopkane, WA, Mrs. Lizzie Allen, Los Angeles, CA; and Mrs. Julia Lechner, Switz City, IN; two brothers, Ike Cannady of Ogden, IN and George Cannady of Keystone, IN.
