Robert Gregory Mack was born May 9, 1934, on the family farm near Bison to Charlie and Lucy (Felber) Mack and departed this life May 28, 2015.

He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Bison, through eighth grade, and Waukomis High School, graduating with the class of 1952.

In December 1952, he married Carleen Simmons at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bison. To this union, nine children were born.

Robert completed a Dale Carnegie course and was employed by Enid Concrete Company for 44 years, retiring in 1998 as manager. He raised cattle and wheat.

He married Shirley Jean Campbell May 3, 1997, at Eureka Springs, Ark. They resided on the farm near Bison until 2009, when they moved to Enid.

Robert was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; president of Redi-Mix Association, serving on the board for many years; a lifelong member of Bison Cemetery Board, serving for many years; a member of Homebuilders Association; and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Beverly (Bill) Annis of Stillwater, Pat Davis of Oklahoma City, Shirley (Kevin) Lynes of Yukon, Ted (Danita) Mack of Bison, Eddie Mack of Enid, Teresa (Bo) Reid of Enid and Freddie (Laurie) Mack of Enid; stepchildren, Norman (Laurie) Morris of Kansas City, Mo., Beverly Morris (Jim Nogalski) of Tulsa, Mitzi (David) Riggs of Orlando, Mark (Tracy) Morris of Edmond; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leroy (Elgeva) Mack of Bison, Larry (Karen) Mack of Bison, Carl (Karen) Mack of Drummond; sisters, Eleanor Watt of Whiterock, S.C., Marcella Schovanec of Hunter, Yvonne Wingard of Colby, Kan., Blanche (Jack) Ryel of Broken Arrow, Mary (Larry) Cagigal of Oklahoma City and Sharon (Mike) Pitman of Drummond.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores Knapik; son, Richard Mack; daughter, Jeanette Levell; and granddaughter, Jessica Mack.

Funeral mass will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bison, with Father Joe Arledge and Father Ed Menasco officiating. Interment will follow in Bison Cemetery. Rosary will be led by Knights of Columbus at 5:30 p.m. today, Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation will follow.

Shirley Jean Campbell Mack was born January 15, 1936, in Enid to James Arthur and Emma May Romang Campbell, and departed this life January 27, 2018, in Enid. Funeral service for Shirley, 82, Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Willow View United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark McAdow officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at the church. Burial follows in the Bison Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Shirley grew up on the farm where her mother was born, in Breckenridge, Oklahoma. She attended Union Country School through the 6th grade, when the school was closed. She then attended Garber and graduated in 1953. In May 1954, she was united in marriage to John E. Morris, in Enid. Shirley endured hardships in her life, but did so with dignity and grace, sacrificing her own desires in order to raise four children on her own. Shirley was employed by Janzen GMC in Enid for 20 years. On May 3, 1997, she married Robert G. Mack in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and they made their home on the farm at Bison until May 2009. Shirley was a member of the Willow View United Methodist Church. She was active with the Garfield County Fair and worked for the Election Board. Shirley loved playing cards of all kinds, was an avid OSU Cowboy, and OKC Thunder fan and loved watching all sports, especially those of her grandchildren. Most notably, Shirley was a loving mother, doting grandmother, thoughtful sister and aunt, and a generous friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, four sisters, Betty, Mary, Elsie, and Ramona; and a brother James.

She is survived by her children, Norman Morris of Kansas City, Mo., Beverly Morris and husband James Nogalski of Tulsa, Mitzi Riggs and husband David of Orlando, and Mark Morris and wife Tracy of Edmond; nine grandchildren; Allison Hiatt and husband Daniel, Megan Sweeney and husband Shagan Overman, Leon Riggs and wife Hope, Rachel and Matthew Nogalski, Eli and Grace Riggs, Campbell and Ella Morris; five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Hudson, Rowan, Jasmine, and Ethan; one sister, Velma Ferguson of Houston.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Garber Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
