JoAnn BEDHAM HLADIK

Bison Cemetery

Jo Ann Hladik, 64, went home to the Lord Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bison. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey. Visitation with the family is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Jo Ann was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Okeene to Weldon and Ruth Benham. She graduated from Okeene High School in 1966, then attended SWOSU, where she met her husband of 43 years, Delbert. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1970.

Jo Ann worked with Delbert on their farm, west of Hennessey. They raised wheat, cattle and had a large garden each year, particularly asparagus. She was active in the Farmers Market in Enid. Through her job with ABS Global (PIC), she daily helped people from China to France, Canada to Brazil. She was truly wired to the world, but her first and greatest love was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved drawing, painting, piano and chocolate.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert; three sons, Christopher and wife Tina, Timothy and wife Tonia, and Jeremy and wife Christy; seven grandchildren, Ashton, Abigail, Gracie, Jakub, Anthony, Ainsley and Nathan; her father, Weldon Benham; and sisters, brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
