October 22, 1948 - August 17, 2023

Mass of Christian Burial for Joe Skinner, 74 of Norman, will be Monday, August 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bison, with Reverend Ed Menasco celebrant. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.

Nathan Joseph "Joe" Skinner was born October 22, 1948 in Enid to Nathan Junior and Beulah (Disney) Skinner and passed away August 17, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Joe grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School 1966. He served a 5 year apprenticeship in the UA of Plumbers & Pipefitters. Joe worked as a pipefitter and certified welder, pipe superintendent, safety professional, A.W.S. CWI & CQI welding inspection. On August 11, 1995, he married Charlene Schovanec in Enid.

Joe enjoyed traveling with Charlene in their RV, fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a lifetime member of Knight of Columbus Council 1044 and 4th Degree Assembly 854.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Charlene; sister Sandra Whitley.

Joe is survived by his children, Nate Skinner, Angela Pettus, Scott Fuksa, Cory Fuksa and Jarrad Poslick; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Creel, Cathy Breitenkamp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF-Diabetes Division.
