Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, Nov. 27, 1952 for Bob Laubhan, who died at his home here Tuesday, Nov 25 at 2:00 a.m. at the age of 28 years, 1 month, and 13 days. Bob was born Oct 12, 1924 in Shattuck, OK to Fred and Annie (Ehrlich) Laubhan. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Fred Jr. and Harry.

The services were held at the First Baptist Church by Rev. Lewis M. Hancock, pastor. Appropriate songs were sung by a quartet of Paul C. Abbott, Henry W. Smith, Edgar C. Johns, and Rev. Lewis M. Hancock. Pallbearers, all WW2 veterans were: Bill Deal, Leo A. Bouse, Alvin Earnst, Floyd Brown, of Shattuck, and Dave Deal, Jr. of Perryton, and Edgar B. Kelln of Amarillo, TX.

Interment was in the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery aka I.O.O.F Lodge #303 Cemetery, Sec. 28 Twp 21 R25, located on the south side of Shattuck, Ok along Hwy 283.

Taken from the NWO Aug 18, 1944: Below a picture of Bob-"One of Shattuck's most outstanding athletes, Bob Laubhan was graduated with Class 44-F at Lubbock Army Air Field, TX on Tuesday morning, June 27. He was Commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Air Corps, and has been assigned to Lincoln Army Air Field, Lincoln, NE. Following the close of his intensive training course, Lt. Laubhan spent several days here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Laubhan, and innumerable friends, including many schoolmates, both out and in the Armed Services".
