JANICE KAY JOHNSON

October 19, 1938 - January 21, 2018

Janice Kay Johnson, 79 year old Gage resident, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Woodward, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gage Cemetery.

Janice Kay (Pantle) Johnson was born October 19, 1938 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Edward and Hattie Yolonda (Johnson) Pantle. Janice grew up in Gage and graduated from Gage High School. Janice was united in marriage to Linden Pratt and to this union they had four boys together, Robin, Jesse, Timmy, and Rusty.

Janice worked several years at Halloren’s Chicken Plant in Fairview, then Ewbank Oil in Fairview. She also worked at Acme Tool in Woodward and Wendy’s in Arkansas City, Kansas. She was married to James Johnson in Woodward, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Janice enjoyed reading and socializing with friends and family. She also loved planting flowers, her bird feeders and bird watching. Janice’s greatest joy in her life was raising her four boys and her little dog Bambi.

She is survived by three sons: Robin Pratt and wife Sabrina of Piedmont; Timmy Pratt and wife Penny of Arkansas City, Kansas; Rusty Pratt and wife Joelle of Gage, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Jessica Pratt Barker of Gage, Jacob Pratt of Piedmont, Jason Pratt of Woodward, April Coffman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Treven Pratt of Denver, Colorado, Ricky Pratt of Gage, Kaila Marie Pratt of Gage; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Ardean Pantle of Houston, Texas; daughter-in-law, Misty Bandy; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ed and Hattie Pantle, step-mom, Viola Pantle, one son Jesse Pratt and two sisters, Glenna Singer and Gloria Morrison, great-grandson, Ethan Pratt.
