Mary “Daphine” Booth, 88-year-old resident of Arnett, OK, passed from this life on October 24, 2016, in Vici, OK. Daphine was born July 29, 1928 to Joseph and Sally (Herndon) Hasley in Ellis County at the Hasley homestead east of Arnett. She attended Elk City, OK grade schools and then attended Arnett High School graduating with the class of 1948.

On May 15, 1948, Daphine married Melton Leroy Booth at the Lipscomb Texas courthouse. To this union two children were born Charlotte and Leroy. They made their home in Ellis County near Arnett where she was a homemaker and cook. Daphine enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Daphine is preceded in death by her husband Melton Booth Sr., her parents Joseph and Sally Hasley, two sisters Margaret Martin and Maxine Mathis, and one brother Butchie Hasley.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Patterson of Arnett, OK; son Melton Booth Jr. of Arnett, OK; granddaughter Cindy Davis and husband Lance and their children Heather Sibley, Kelcee Davis, and Robert Davis; granddaughter Dannette Solis and husband Beto and their children Dominic Sawyer, Gloria Sawyer, and Julian Solis; granddaughter Shana West and her children Justice West, Lathen West, and Dayson West; grandson Shane Booth and wife Kimberly and their children Bella Booth and Brenly Booth; and many extended family and friends.
