Norma Norene (Goodman) Jones, 72 of Vici, OK passed from this life on July 19, 2016 at her home with family by her bedside. Norma was born April 12, 1944 to Lorin and Thelma (Grothe) Goodman, in Tryon, OK. She attended grade school at Vici Public Schools, and then graduated from Seiling High School.

On October 26, 1963 Norma married Charles Ray Jones in Vici. They were blessed with three sons; Martin Ray, Glynn Leroy, and Bryan Todd. They lived in Ponca City, Enid, and Sharon, OK. She was a homemaker. After Charles' passed she moved to Vici to be closer to her Church. Norma was baptized by Bro Horace Huber and was a member of the Church of the Firstborn east of Vici. Norma dedicated her life to her husband, sons, family and friends. She spent a great deal of her life providing help to the church visiting and taking care of the sick. Countless hours providing food for church activities and brethren in need.

In the summers they spent a lot of time at the lake with family and friends. They had a special bond with Claude and Christine Clark and spent a great deal of time vacationing with them. Claude always called Ma, “Norma Jean.”

Norma always followed Charles and his dreams, no matter what kind of mess they got into…she would be beside him…whether it be a broke down Model T Ford in North Central Kansas or having to make an emergency landing in Eastern Oklahoma due to weather, she was always a supportive companion.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Charles Jones, parents Lorin and Thelma Goodman, brothers Ercell Goodman and Frankie Goodman and wife Lori, sister Arvetta Turner and husband Ivan, granddaughter Lakin Jones, great granddaughter Olivia Payton, brothers-in-law Carl Ellis, Lester Arnold, and Jerry Jones and wife Sue, sisters-in-law Jean Goodman and Delphene Coleman.

She is survived by her three sons, Martin Jones and wife Jane of Vici, OK, Glynn Jones and fiancé Samantha of Wichita, KS, and Bryan Jones and friend Theresa Rex of Yukon, OK; grandchildren Courtney Payton and husband Shane, Hunter Jones and wife Kylan, Andrew Jones, Dylan Jones, and Emma Jones; great grandchildren Abram and August Payton; brother Lonnie Goodman and wife Jan of Eufaula, OK; sisters Dolores Arnold of Newcastle, OK, Luella Morris and husband Freddy of Vici, OK, and Donna Ellis of Bethany, OK; mother-in-law Glendena Blosser of Woodard, OK; brother-in-laws Bob Jones and wife Charlotte of Fairmont, OK, Randy Blosser of Fairmont, OK; sister-in-laws Glenda Blosser of Woodward, OK and JB Bittner and husband Marshall of Mutual, OK; nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
