Susan Renee Proffitt was born June 14, 1973 at Elk City, OK to Rudy Kent and Betty Jo (Rhodes) Proffitt. She departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2013 in Dewey County, Oklahoma at the age of 39 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Susan attended Canton High School and graduated with the class of 1992. She attended Redlands Junior College and attained an Associates Degree in Business. She worked as a process server in Blaine and Dewey counties and the surrounding area. She will be missed by many family and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Kent Proffitt; and grandparents Guy and Lola Rhodes.

Survivors include two children, daughter MaKayla Roberts and son Brock Foster, Jr. both of Oakwood, OK; grandson MaKaylan Lane Stanley of Oakwood, OK; mother B.J. Rhodes of Longdale, OK; brother Toby Proffitt of Oakwood, OK; sister Amy Price and husband Charlie of Houston, TX; grandfather Lester Proffitt and wife Pat of Watonga, OK; grandmother Berneita Strohm of Fairview, OK; nephews Hunter Proffitt and Dylan Proffitt of Sallisaw, OK and Kyle and Kendall Price of Houston, TX; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved dog Ruggs.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, April 10, 2013 at Canton Christian Church with Pastor Earl Eskue officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
