The funeral for Raymond O. Redfern, 71, of Jay, OK. will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2005, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery, Jay, OK.
He was born Jan. 17, 1934 in Jet, OK. to Daniel and Marie Jones Redfern and died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at his home.
He was raised and educated in Helena, OK. In 1952, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. Following his discharge in 1960, he lived in Panama City, Fla. He was a millwright engineer for Daniels Construction for 25 years, retiring in 1980. He moved to Enid, OK. in 2002.
He married Parnell E. Duncan in 1947. She died in 2001. He married Mary Etta West. She died in 2005. He then married Glendia Adams.
He was a member of American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Glendia, of the home; one son, Daniel Redfern, of Carolina; one daughter, Nancy Marie Medina of Panama City, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Mungia of Enid, OK.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Parnell and Mary Etta.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
