Sue Jean Overbey, 83, died Monday, October 13, 2008 at her home in Jay, Oklahoma. She was born September 30, 1925 in Keefeton, Oklahoma to William “Buck” and Eliza (Purdom) Rains. Sue attended school in Warner where she graduated from high school. She and Jack Everett Overbey married on March 17, 1946. Sue worked as a church secretary retiring in 1979. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with her family.Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Overbey, daughter, Carol Dee Overbey; sisters, Marie Revell and Loree Smith and brother Bill Raines. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Peabody of Jay, Oklahoma; son, Bill Overbey of Jay; daughter-in-law, Crissi Overbey of Jay, granddaughter, CC. Overbey of Jay, grandson, Billy Overbey of Jay; grandson, Dustin Peabody and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
