Salina, OK - Roma Gene Sapp, 56, died Wednesday night, July 19, 2006 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Roma was born August 27, 1949 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to Eli Sapp and Inez (Lyman) Sapp. He was a lifetime resident of Salina/Kansas, Oklahoma area. Roma was married to Jackie Colston and he was employed by the Cherokee Nation's Natural Resources Department at Bull Hollow. He was a member of New Green Baptist Church and he enjoyed his grandkids and old western movies on TV. Roma was a very kind person, who puts others before himself.

Survivors include six children, Carey, Jeanne, Billy Gene and Marlene Sapp, all of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Patrick Sapp of Macon, Missouri and Molly Sapp of Kenwood; one sister, Eva Harlin of Colcord, Oklahoma; one brother, Harold Osage of Kansas, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2006, at New Green Baptist Church, west of Kansas, Oklahoma with Pastor Bridge Chuckluck officiating. Interment will be in Clouds Creek Cemetery, near Colcord, Oklahoma under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay.
