Lonnie Ellis Williams July 26, 1920 Nov. 17, 2005
Lonnie Ellis Williams was born on July 26, 1920 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Lou E. and Mattie Williams and passed away on November 17, 2005 in Bakersfield. He was one of 13 children and came to Bakersfield as a young man.
Lonnie served during WWII in the U.S. Army.
He was a water pump installer in the agriculture industry for approximately 40 years.
He was a loving father and a great papa.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife Ruby in 1966; his parents; daughter Erma Dillard; son Melvin Williams, and 6 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons Ronald Williams and wife Joyce of Sylmar, CA., and Edward D. Williams and wife Rachael of Chelsea, OK; sisters Vivian Haddox, Gladys Spears and Patty Cochran; brothers Kenneth Williams, Norman Williams and Elwon Williams; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Chapel Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday 4 to 8 pm.
