Loretta June Pope

February 14, 1938 - May 21, 2019

Funeral service for Loretta June Pope will be 10:30am, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Geronimo, OK under the direction of Whinery Huddleston Funeral Service.
Loretta June was born February 14, 1938 in Lincoln, Illinois. She grew up in the Lawton area, and graduated 8th grade from Hillside school south of Lawton and she attended Geronimo High School. Loretta participated in Honor Guard of the Lawton Rangers Rodeo. She was married in 1956 and raised four children. She worked at various Lawton businesses which included an elevator operator at the Hotel Lawtonian and as a housekeeper at Southwestern Hospital. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family and going out to eat. She was a truly sweet and kind lady.
Loretta June Pope, age 81, of Lawton passed away Monday, May 21, 2019 at her home.
She is survived by her sons Victor Williams & wife Linda of Poteau, Oklahoma; Kevin Smith of Lawton, Oklahoma; Glenn Pope of Kyle Texas; her daughter Cynthia Brown & fiance Roy Harvey of Fletcher, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 3 nephews and 2 great nephews. Loretta June was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hazel (Morris) Swallow; her grandparents Bob & Lizzie (Newby) Swallow; Howard & Estelle Morris and her sister Anita Perez.
