Gary Lynn Self

ELGIN-Funeral for Gary Lynn Self, 48, Elgin, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hodge Funeral Home Chapel, Fletcher, with the Rev. Paul Lutz of the Cowboy Church, Pool Arena, officiating.

Mr. Self died Sunday, March 27, 2005, in Texas.

Burial will be at Pecan Valley Cemetery, Lawton.

He was born Oct. 26, 1956, in Altus to Olen Self and Macel Hooper Self, and lived most of his life in the Elgin area

He was a general laborer and most recently was employed by James' Lube and Oil of Elgin.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his companion of 15 years, Gloria Jean Ford, Elgin; his mother, Apache; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Danny and Helen Self, Lawton; Joe and Julie Self, Apache; and Keith and Barbara Self, Elgin; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Gayle and Mike Ferguson, Des Moines, Iowa; and Donna and Glen Cummins, Elgin; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olen Self.
