John Robert Broadaway

Birth date: September 13, 1966
Death date: November 12, 2014

Funeral services for John Robert Broadaway, 48, Lawton will be Saturday, Nov. 15th, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Harold Gaches and Pastor Donnie Crittendon officiating.
John passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at his home.
John was born Sept. 13th, 1966 to Jimmie Broadaway and Janice [Gardner] Page in Union City, TN.

His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees.

John loved to fish just for the fun of it, catching and releasing most that he caught. He was fond of hiking, especially in the Wichita Mountains. John spent many an hour walking the Boulder, Sunset, and Parallel forest areas with his kids.

John grew up and lived in Jonesboro, AR, where a co-worker at Jr. Foods introduced him to Stacey Wiersema. They were married on March 20th, 1993. Stacey was John's forever love.

John was a member of First Baptist West Church and former member and Deacon at Paradise Valley Baptist Church. John was a Certified Human Resource Capital Manager for Bar-S Foods and dedicated to his work. He enjoyed the original NCIS series, listening to K-Love, and gardening, when the Oklahoma weather would allow. John will be missed by many family members, fellow co-workers, church families and friends.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elissa; a son, John-Paul of the home; mother and step-father, Janice Page and husband Gary, of Sharon, TN; father, Jimmie Broadaway; a sister, Serita Sutton and husband Stan of Munford, TN; a brother, Keith Broadaway and friend Janet Petray of Little Rock, AR; father and mother in-law, Jerry and Evelyn Wiersema, Lawton; sister-n-law, LeAnn and husband Kent Brown, Central High; brother-in-law, James Beatty, Lawton; sister-in-law, Cheri Beatty and partner Linda Doane, Lawton; nieces, Natalie and Gene Rook, Erin and Adam Berryhill, Kylie and Hunter Blaine; nephews, Jared Brown, Justin Beatty, and Jerry Beatty; great-nephews, Kayden, Dalton, and great-niece, Genna, along with many loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in passing by grandparents, John and Lucille Gardner and Paul and Verdis Broadaway, and niece, Heather Barbee.

Visitation:
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505

10:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at First Baptist West 7302 NW Cache Rd Lawton OK 73505
