Jerry Norman Finch

Funeral for Jerry Norman Finch, 63, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service Chapel with Capt. Clinton White, chaplain, officiating.

Mr. Finch died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Lawton.

Burial with military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Clay Center, Kan., to Virginia Estelle Hook and Charles Wilburn Finch.

He married Un Cha Finch on Jan. 24, 1968, in Seoul, Korea.

He was in the U.S. Army from August 23, 1956, until his retirement May 31, 1983, as a sergeant first class. He served at various posts in the United States and overseas. His awards included the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Service Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon Sixth Award, Good Conduct Medal Eighth Award, two Overseas Service Bars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm, Expert (rifle M-16) and Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon-2.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Milagrus Finch, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; a grandson; eight brothers: Charles Finch, Bethany, Mo.; John Finch, Phoenix, Ariz.; James Finch, St. Joseph, Mo.; Wilburn Finch, Marlin Finch and Michael Finch, all of Kansas City, Mo.; Arlon Finch, Wichita, Kan.; Leslie Finch, Las Vegas; and a sister, Deborah Finch
