Frankie Doyebi

Frankie Doyebi, 66, passed away on Saturday, August 24th, 2013, in Lawton, OK.

He was born on April 4, 1947 in Lawton, Ok to Hugh Andele and Frances Harriet [Williams] Doyebi.

He married Vela Charolett Ross in 1964 at Rock Springs Church, north of Anadarko, OK

He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Viet Nam Era. During his time in the Marines he was stationed at 29 Palms, CA, Paris Island, Iwakuna, Japan, Cherry Point, NC. He attained the rank of E-6 Staff Sgt and was a cross Country Chaser, Brigadiere Guard and a helicopter repairman.

He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and a member of the Kiowa Gourd Clan.

The past several years he had made his home at the Veterans Retirement Center in Lawton, OK.

He is survived by: His mother; Frances Harriet "Della" Doyebi, Carnegie, OK; 2 sons: Frankie Doyebi, Jr., El Reno, OK, Thomas Ross Wind Doyebi, El Reno, OK; 3 brothers: Nathan Bruce Doyebi, El Reno, OK, Jerry Lynn Doyebi, Anadarko, OK Duane Guyness, Coweta, OK; 2 sisters: Tommie Louise Doyebi, Carnegie, OK Francine Doyebi Worthington, El Reno, OK; Grandchildren: Charlotte Skye Stewart, Ira Sankeym, Tee Cee Sunshine Sankey, Brett VanHorn, Frankie Hugh Shadow Doyebi, Jerald Bradley Doyebi, Braydin Ross Doyebi; Great-Grandchild: Olivia Stewart

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Andele Doyebi, his wife, Vela Charolett Doyebi, his daughter, Frances Doyebi Sankey, his maternal grandparents; Bruce Nestell and Mary Saunkeah Nestell. His paternal grandparents; James Nathan Doyebi and Ruby Turkey Doyebi.

Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 27, 2013, Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko, OK

Funeral Services: 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2013, Red Stone Church, Anadarko, OK

Interment: National Cemetery, Elgin, OK at 1:00 P.M.

Military rites under the direction of U.S,. Marine Corp.

Services under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK.
